Technology Policies

In our classroom, our goal is to have a positive, productive, and respectful learning environment for everyone, and in order to achieve that goal, we have certain policies in place.

All technology should be used appropriately and respectfully in the classroom.

Phones

ALL STUDENTS MUST PUT THEIR PHONES IN THE PHONE BOX WHEN THEY ENTER THE CLASSROOM.

  • Each student will have a numbered slot in the phone box to store their phone.

  • Any use of fake phones, phone swapping, or attempts to disregard this policy will result in disciplinary action.

  • If a parent needs to contact their child, call the school phone number, and we will send the student to the office to answer the phone.

Chromebooks

CHROMEBOOKS MUST BE USED RESPONSIBLY.

  • Students may only access school-approved websites during class.

  • Any activities, such as watching movies, playing games, or shopping, can be done outside of class.

  • The school has monitoring software installed on all Chromebooks and reserves the right to investigate any suspicious activity (ex: cheating).

Headphones

HEADPHONES SHOULD BE PUT AWAY.

  • It is disrespectful to have headphones in your ears during class while the teacher is teaching, classmates are working with you, etc.

  • During independent work time, you will be allowed to listen to music with your headphones and chromebook.
